Whitening is a cosmetic procedure which can whiten teeth up to 8 shades lighter.
There are two ways to professionally whiten teeth.
The in-house procedure is professionally done in the dental chair and results are instant.
The take home kit which achieves the same results as the in-house procedure, but it takes a bit longer to achieve, usually 4-7 days.
You can also use a take home kit to maintain results after in-house whitening.
Not all people will achieve the same results. It all depends on the colour of your natural enamel as the whitening agent only removes the stains accumulated over time. If there are existing restorations on front teeth e.g. White fillings, crowns etc, they will not whiten therefore they will need to be replaced after the whitening procedure to achieve an even result.
